Fresh off the back of Gold and Double Gold medals at one of the worlds most revered spirit competitions 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, we present to you The West Winds Gin.

No mean feat in itself this little battler from the West took a very David vs. Goliath approach only 4 weeks after its release and won.

Unashamedly different and uniquely Australian, its a gin lovers gin, set apart by utilising native botanicals like wattle seed and bush tomato and the pristine waters of Margaret River in Western Australia.

"Gin is entering a renaissance,"
explains Jason Chan. There is no better time to introduce a forward thinking, quality product that can appeal to the traditionalists but also a product that pushes the boundaries with a new world style.

Margaret River is home to a host of established producers creating exceptional wines, but more importantly for us, a pristine source of water and abundant natural botanicals. Hand selected delicate flavours such as wattleseed and bush tomato bring a flavor profile that is uniquely Australian and internationally unique.

The quality of the water serves to create a high purity in the final product. Close proximity to botanicals produces a fresher product and allows for the innovative use of wattle seed and bush tomato.

The Sabre Title The West Winds Sabre weighs in at 40% ABV and presents a traditional British style gin led by an undercurrent of citrus with a dominance of juniper, followed by the classic coriander seed. The addition of wattle seed adds a depth to the mid palate and introduces a creamy texture without the need for artificial additions. Perfect as a classic G&T with lemon or capsicum and cucumber to release the intricacies of this uniquely styled gin.

The Cutlass Title The Cutlass is bolstered by an increase in ABV to 50% to take its place amongst the new world styles that continue to emerge. Hand crafted, small batch is the key to its delicacy. The introduction of Australian bush tomato pairs up with an increase in coriander seed to produce a headstrong but beautifully aromatic and altogether drinkable gin. For the seasoned martini drinker, a classic 7:1 showcases this sophisticated, floral led gin to a tee.

The Tailor Made Spirits Company came together as a team when James Clarke, a world weary wine industry pro and head distiller Paul The doctor White decided to get serious. The pair had long held a dream to produce a West Australian gin. Teaming up with spirit geeks Jason Chan (ex 42BELOW WORLD CUP CHAMPION and partner in Seamstress and Greenhouse) and his partner in crime Jeremy Spencer, formerly of Woodford Reserve and Appleton Estate Rum, the nucleus of a world beating gin house was born.

The team created a gin that rivals the classic houses and places it at the head of the emerging players, bolstered by their recent win of gold and double gold medals at this years San Francisco International Spirit Awards. No mean feat!
